Erika Toliusis (UY'69)

De magie van bijzondere momenten in het leven. Dat is mijn diepste inspiratiebron voor het schilderen.  Het gaat vanzelf, vanuit mijn onbewuste. Ik draag het verhaal van de oceaan in mij. Om met de wereld te delen. Als boodschap en duiding over onze verantwoordelijkheid voor de zorg en bescherming voor de balans met de natuur, de planeet, het leven.

Biografie Erika Toliusis

Erika werd geboren in Uruguay en volgde een opleiding aan het Circulo de Bellas Artes in Montevideo en aan het Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts-VS. Zelf benoemt zij haar grootvader als het belangrijkste rolmodel en de leraar. Hij leerde haar een volledig unieke manier om naar de natuur te kijken. Haar vroegste experimenten met verf leerde haar al snel dat het penseel niet zaligmakend is. Olie is haar materiaal en het paletmes haar gereedschap. Erika Toliusis wordt in de Benelux exclusief vertegenwoordigd door The Obsession of Art.
